Who we are
The Custer Network Against Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault (CNADA) is a
nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual
assault, dating violence, and stalking across southeastern Montana. Founded in 1996,
CNADA provides free and confidential services to individuals and families in Carter,
Custer, Fallon, Garfield, Powder River, Rosebud, and Treasure counties.
We are deeply rooted in Montana’s rural communities—places where neighbors know
each other by name, where resilience is a way of life, and where access to safety and
support can be miles away. CNADA bridges that distance by offering trauma-informed
advocacy, emergency shelter, legal and medical advocacy, crisis intervention, outreach
education, and safety planning. We work side by side with law enforcement, courts,
schools, and local partners to build safer, stronger communities where survivors are
believed, supported, and empowered.
Our Team
Our team is made up of compassionate and dedicated advocates who walk beside survivors through some of the hardest moments of their lives. Whether it’s responding to a call in the middle of the night, standing beside someone in court, or helping a parent rebuild a life of safety and dignity, we show up—with empathy, respect, and an unwavering belief in every survivor’s strength.
We understand that healing doesn’t happen in a straight line—and in Montana, where isolation and distance can magnify danger, the path forward can feel even harder. That’s why we meet survivors wherever they are, both physically and emotionally. We’re here to listen without judgment, to support without condition, and to remind every survivor: you are not alone, and you never have to be again.
