CNADA Mission Statement
Custer Network Against Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault operates under the premise that individuals are entitled to a safe and secure environment, free from violence and the fear of violence. It is our belief that societal conditions that allow abuse and violence to exist will only be changed by education, awareness and ultimately the empowerment of the victims and the communities in which they live. Therefore, it is our mission to provide services that empower victims of violent and abusive behavior and to provide education to empower our community to change these conditions.
CNADA’s Purpose
• To provide confidential networking and support to people in our rural area who are suffering from domestic and sexual violence
• To encourage awareness and understanding of domestic and sexual violence through public education
• To provide training and supervision of volunteer advocates and peer counselors whose focus is one of confidential support to individuals suffering from violence
• To provide confidential referrals
• To other service providers
• To provide confidential emergency services to people in crisis situations
About CNADA
CNADA (Custer Network Against Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault) is a private, not-for-profit corporation that has been serving those victimized by domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking since 1996. We serve Carter, Custer, Fallon, Garfield, Powder River, Rosebud, and Treasure counties. Staff and volunteers are available 24 hours a day to respond to crises and assist with follow-up care. We have offices in Forsyth, Baker and on the MCC campus. Our main office is located in Miles City. We are funded with local donations and grants from DPHHS, MBCC, MCADSV and OVW.
