What does CNADA stand for?
CNADA stands for the Custer Network Against Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault. We are a nonprofit organization serving individuals affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking.

What areas do you serve?
We support individuals across Carter, Custer, Fallon, Garfield, Powder River, Rosebud, and Treasure counties in southeastern Montana.

Services Offered

Does CNADA have a shelter?
Yes. We offer emergency shelter for individuals and families in danger, along with support to help survivors rebuild their lives.

Does CNADA provide attorneys?
No. While we do not provide legal representation or advice, our legal advocates can guide you through paperwork, attend court with you, and connect you with trusted legal aid partners.

Does CNADA help with legal services?
Yes. We offer legal advocacy, which includes:

  • Help with protection order paperwork

  • Court accompaniment

  • Emotional support through legal processes

How do I get an order of protection?
Our advocates will help you understand your options, fill out the necessary forms, and even attend court with you if you choose. You do not need to involve law enforcement to request an order of protection.

Do I qualify for an order of protection?
You may qualify if you've experienced domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, or threats from someone you live with, date, or have a close relationship with. Reach out to us—we’ll help you assess your situation confidentially.

How do I qualify for CNADA’s services?
If you’ve experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, or dating violence, you qualify. Our services are:

  • Free

  • Confidential

  • Open to all genders, ages, and backgrounds

What services does CNADA provide?
We offer:

  • 24/7 crisis line support

  • Emergency shelter

  • Legal advocacy and court accompaniment

  • Safety planning and risk assessments

  • Support groups and referrals to counseling

  • Outreach and prevention education

If there’s something we don’t offer, we’ll connect you to someone who does.

Are your services free?
Yes. All CNADA services are provided at no cost.

What should I do if I’m in immediate danger?

Can I get help if I don’t want to leave my abuser yet?
Yes. You do not have to leave to receive help. We will meet you where you are and support you in developing a plan that prioritizes your safety.
