Crisis Response
- Advocates are available 24 hours a day to respond to crisis situations.
- Crisis Counseling
- In-person intervention, guidance and emotional support after a crime has taken place. We can meet you at the law enforcement department or hospital and at our office on an ongoing basis.
- Criminal Justice Advocacy
- Support and advocacy provided at any stage of the criminal justice process, including court accompaniment and post-sentencing services.
Crime Victim Compensation
Assistance in filing for the Montana Crime Victim Compensation to help pay medical expenses, lost wages or counseling expenses related to a crime.
Education and Awareness
Printed material and confidential conversation to help with understanding of the issues involved in domestic abuse, dating violence, sexual assault & stalking as well as public & group education offerings.
Legal Advocacy
Assistance with civil and criminal case issues including assistance in filing for Orders of Protection, and court accompaniment.
Legal Representation
Staff attorneys available through an application and approval process to represent victims on civil legal issues like dissolutions, parenting plans and housing issues related to victimization.
Personal Advocacy
Assistance in securing rights, remedies and service from other agencies; intervening with employers and others; locating emergency assistance; assistance in securing appropriate benefits.
Referrals
Confidential referrals to other service providers, such as medical and mental health services, the Office of Public Assistance, Job Service, DEAP/WIC, landlords, Child & Family Services, law enforcement, etc.
Shelter/Safe Housing
Short term, emergency shelter house or motel (subject to availability) and related support services following the victimization.
Support Groups
Available on Facebook at ‘Custer Network Against Domestic Abuse Support Group’.
Transportation
Transportation assistance for survivors in the form of rides (subject to availability), public transportation and/or gas voucher.
Communication between survivors and advocates is strictly confidential
You are not required to report to law enforcement to receive CNADA services
